I'm a tad thrilled. Blackbird Corner is finally the colour I'd always wanted it to be. So many shops on our beautiful street have been refurbishing that we wanted to join in somehow.

We don't want to "posh up" our interior as we think it's nice as it is. Simple. Basic. Certainly not posh.

But our exterior had gotten quite shabby.

To the point that I kept finding myself humming the song -

"in the ghetto". Heading towards our 7th Birthday we wanted to look less ghetto and more Blackbird.

We're in it for the long haul after all.

Now....to convince Sean to design a new sign.

PS I'm still housebound, recovering from having sunspots frozen off, so am yet to see it in "real life"!
